Salt Cay activities - Turks and caicos islands

THE DEANE'S DOCK EXPERIENCE........ a one-mile warm breeze cycle ride before sunrise to reach the harbor.  An ideal time and place to practice deep breathing gymnastics whilst watching various seabirds catching their breakfast or spot various colored fish swimming in clear blue water between the boats.
DIVING........ one spectacular dive site is the Endymion Wreck.
BIRD WATCHING........ especially the osprey, hummingbirds, peregrine falcons, and turtle doves (bring your own binoculars).
WALL WALKING........ at your own pace, walk around the Salt Salinas and enjoy the views of the historic island and its salt industry.
TCI MUSEUM....Take a ten minute air flight or ride the Salt Cay Community boat to Grand Turk to visit one of the most interesting museums in the West Indies.
CROC HUNTING........ is a unique pastime.  The collecting of pieces of blue china from deserted sites around the island.  Many pieces are well over 100 years old..
WHELKING........ rock hopping in search of shellfish called whelks which makes a delicious traditional whelk soup a favorite of the islands said to have aphrodisiac qualities!
LINE FISHING........ with a local expert fisherman who will show you how to catch conch, grouper and hog snapper!
SILVER SAND ROLLING........ a thorough cleansing, exfoliation and conditioning technique to rejuvenate your skin.  Rinse off with a lazy dip in the Caribbean Sea.  Your skin will look and feel like silk within days of using Salt Cay water.
SNORKELING........ explore a pretty reef, a short swim from shore where the waters teem with parrot fish.
ISLAND COOKING LESSON........ learn one easy and nourishing dish from an islander - lobster hash, pear bush soup or conch stew.
WHALE WATCHING   each year from February to early April. Click on this site for more details. Also enjoy a boat ride to a nearby deserted island and spot the flying fish or swim with the sting rays!.
PAINTING........ even if you've never before dabbled in a paint box, paint a mural on one of our blank walls.
TRAIL TREKKING........ walk or bicycle ride to The Creek, Taylor Hill and along fabulous stretches of uninhabited beaches for beachcombing.
PLANT A FRIENDSHIP TREE OR BUSH........ we supply the tree, you dig the hole and plant it.
MUSICAL JAM SESSIONS........ whether or not talented!  Of course, if you have a manageable instrument, bring it with you.
WORSHIP........ at one of our three churches, or one of the many naturally peaceful spots on the island.
